About Mantaray
A Personal Journey.
A Lifelong Passion.
A Passion That Became Mantaray.
Rooted in Danish Design. Inspired by the World.
My fascination with furniture design began at an early age. Growing up with an appreciation for Danish design and its remarkable heritage, I developed a lasting passion for the way beautiful furniture can shape the spaces we live in.
During my twenties, I worked extensively with furniture and interior design, importing hundreds of containers from various countries across Asia. It was an experience that gave me valuable insight into materials, manufacturing, craftsmanship and the international furniture industry.
Although life eventually took me in other directions, my passion for furniture design never disappeared. It was simply waiting for the right moment.
The Journey That Changed Everything.
A journey through Asia with my wife became the beginning of a new chapter. Travelling through beautiful landscapes, discovering local cultures and experiencing the extraordinary craftsmanship of Vietnam and Indonesia, particularly Bali, left a lasting impression on both of us. We fell in love with the atmosphere, the people, the natural materials and the unique approach to craftsmanship.
Somewhere along that journey, an idea began to take shape. We wanted to create something of our own. A furniture universe that would bring together our passion for Danish design, the craftsmanship we had discovered in Asia and our belief that beautiful furniture should be both functional and made to last.
That idea became Mantaray.
From Inspiration to Reality.
Since then, I have travelled extensively, visited international furniture fairs, explored production facilities and carefully selected the manufacturing partners who share our vision.
Today, Mantaray is building a distinctive collection of furniture and interior pieces, developed through our own design direction and collaborations with talented furniture designers. Our products are primarily manufactured in Indonesia, Vietnam and Denmark, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, carefully selected materials and lasting quality.
Mantaray is more than a furniture brand. It is the result of a lifelong passion, years of experience and a journey that inspired us to turn a dream into reality.
Welcome to Mantaray.
